Letter to Host Family
Dear my future family,
I am Ms. Sheila Mae Catherine D. , 25 years old and the youngest daughter of Mr. Anastacio A. ; a fish vendor and Mrs. Merlyn D. ; a housewife. My eldest sister is Anna Lyn D. ; a teacher in a public school.
I graduated at Gensantos Foundation College, Incorporated with a course of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management last March 2014. I also earned 30 units in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies at Stratford International School and already pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
I am one of the granted scholars of SMI and that scholarship helped me a lot to finish my degree. I am a sporty person. I played badminton and chess since I was in first year High School. I can also play various ball games such as basketball and volleyball and I love swimming too. I experienced teaching children because of my Immersion subject when I was studying Education and it feels so good and satisfying being with those happy, lovely, young people.
Since I’ve grown and been conscious about everything that surrounds me at the age of 14, I became independent and responsible enough to take care not just myself but of my entire family. Whatever my parents command me, I do it wholeheartedly especially when it comes to the household chores. I understand that they’re busy too that is why I have to helped them.
I want to become one of those lucky Au Pairs, I really want to be a part of your family and experience what and how it feels to be with you all. Sharing each other’s culture as well as the language spoken, for me, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. I want to share my talents and skills with you; especially to the children I’m going to take care of by any chance and grace.
Thank you my host family. I am patiently and actively waiting for your response and I’m very much excited to be with you soon.
