Hi, my name is Finja, I was born in December 2006 in Germany. Since
then I have been living with my parents and my sister in a house there. My mother
tongue is German and I also speak English fluently. I am currently going to the
archiepiscopal Ursulinengymnasium and will graduate from high school
in the summer of 2025. After that, I would like to take a learning break to gain
experience abroad, improve my language skills and deepen my work with children
(up to two children).
Since approx. one year I supervise a group of children in the church where we
explain the stories of the Bible to the children in a simple and playful way. I'm also
babysitting the neighbours‘ kid.
At the age of 5 I learned to play the flute and when I moved to high school, I
started playing the tuba. At that time I played in the school orchestra and in a
youth symphony orchestra.
In terms of sports, I started playing field hockey early and successfully participated
in tournaments with my team. In the winter holidays I learned to ski at an early age.
I started with alpine skiing and then with approx. 10 years I switched to skating. I
have been snowboarding for 3 years now and would like to continue learning this
during my stay.
I often meet up with friends. We undertake various things, like play board games,
cook or explore surrounding cities. Normally I take my camera with me, to capture
the best moments and views.
At home i like to bake cookies and pies. I often try new recipies or create my own
ones. I did an internship in a pasty shop to get insights to the practices.
