My name is Joana and I am 22 years old. I live in Spain, in a village
on the island of Mallorca. I live in a house in the countryside with my
parents and my 17 years old little sister.
I am a very friendly, cheerful and empathetic girl. I am very optimist, I always try to
see the good parts of things. Patience is one of my strong points. Since I was a little
girl I have wanted to be a primary education teacher and this year I have succeeded.
I have graduated from the degree of Primary Education with the mention of support
teacher.
During the last two years I have done internships in three schools in Mallorca, where
I have been with children from 6 to 12 years old. During this time I have realized that
I really like children and I am passionate about teaching. In addition, I have the title
of free time monitor and during the summer I am a monitor in a summer school. This
summer I have been with three year olds!
In my free time I usually go walking and hiking in the mountains on the island of
Mallorca. I also like to go to the beach and sunbathe, taking advantage of the
beautiful beaches on the island. Spending time with my family and friends is my
favorite thing to do. Whenever we can, the four of us go on a trip, as we love to travel
and get to know places we don't know.
I would like to live the au pair experience to improve my English. In addition, I would like to discover the culture, traditions, food and places of this country.
